Halloween fun

What a fun Halloween weekend!

On Friday the kids had a Primary Party. We almost missed it, but good thing for friends that keep us informed of the things kidos forget to let us know about. So they made monster sun visors and Painted pumpkins and had a grand ol' time.

On the Saturday Price city had it's Halloween Street carnival. The fun kid games and even a mini Train ride was all free to the public. The Kids had so much fun. I'm sure Alex & Zackary's favorite part was the train ride, and McKenzie's favorite was the face Painting. They got a lot of treats and a little cold, But it was well worth it for the memories.

We rounded out the fun of the day with Carving Pumpkins (You can't have Halloween without a good Jack O' Lantern). They turned out really good. Jason's was a Scary face, mine was the Reaper, Kenz designed her own face, & Zacks was a graveyard. Alex was happy just to watch the fun.  Next year we will add his pumpkin in to the patch.

Sunday brought the Primary Program.  The kids did a great job on their parts and singing their little hearts out. My favorite part was when they had the Priesthood brethren sing "Praise to the Man" with the kids. WOW what a powerful feeling and spirit. I was a very proud mommy that day.

Monday the school Halloween carnival & Kindergarten party started the day with a bang. We needed to all be up a getting ready to go early, I'm very surprised that we got out the door without any trouble. I got the chance to actually see the carnival with Zackary and a couple of his classmates. This is the 1st year in 3 years at the school I have gotten to do this. I have always been stuck in a classroom helping with one of the games. It was fun to see all the fun the PTA puts together for the Carnival. During the costume parade I was the traffic director. That was really fun. All of the kids' costumes at the school where awesome.

At home we had Frankin mummies for dinner(hot dogs in rolls), with blood dipping sauce (ketsup)& Brains (Pork n' Beans). We all enjoyed the themed dinner (it was Kenz's idea). After dinner the kids & I hit the streets to beg for candy....ok ok we went trick-or-treating.  Alex learned the fun of trick-or-treating really quickly. He wanted to hold every piece of candy he got instead of putting it in the candy bucket. We tried to get him to say "thank you" at every house but instead he would say "BYE" (good thing he's too cute, we'll work on manners later.)  I'm surprised how quickly McKenzie &  Zackary tired out on the Trick-or-treating this year. We only did about 1/2 the houses we did last year. At least they will all sleep very well.

As for this years costumes; McKenzie was a Witch, Zackary was Spiderman, Alex was a pumpkin for the school carnival and a teddy bear for trick-or-treating. (He had little too much fun with the chocolate frosting and a cookie at the morning Kindergarten Party. In the end he looked like a muddy pumpkin) Mommy was the walking dead, or a very tired Mummy.( it was a toss up).

Like I said before " What a fun Halloween". We definitely made grand memories.
